Ivano Poblano

Ivano Poblano is a small organic Mexican Restaurant in London, Ont. What started from a food blog, Ivano Poblano has now evolved into a 30-seat restaurant all run by owner-operator Ivan Santana-Barnes. Ivano Poblano needed an updated logo, something that would reflect their casual, modern, and organic Mexican cuisine. They also asked for a stationery package, a website overhaul as well as a food truck design to take their show on the road!

This project was a lot of fun and truly a joy from start to finish. Mexican cuisine is extremely popular and with that comes a lot of other beautifully branded Mexican restaurants with their own unique flair. One of the challenges working with Ivano Poblano was trying to highlight their organic food, while also giving them their own unique branding to stand out from all the other popular Mexican restaurants around London. Another challenge was modernizing the brand, while also keeping Ivan’s unique flair for bold colour and illustrations. 

For this project, I used Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Sketch, and Adobe Draw.
