The Cinderella Project London

The Cinderella Project is a non-profit organization in London, Ont, that provides formal attire for school-sanctioned events to students who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford it. While their cause is certainly needed in the London area, the charity was suffering from a lack of branding and subsequently, visibility and awareness. The client asked for a re-branding from their current logo, as well as an interesting marketing campaign to be used on billboards, bus shelters, and the web.

For the Cinderella Project, I really dove into research about their charity, similar charities in the area, and focused on making them stand out. One of the challenges of working with The Cinderella Project was avoiding copyright infringement - how to work with the theme of “Cinderella” and makeovers, without infringing on a Disney property. The other challenge was making the logo and subsequent branding appealing to students, both male and female, and being professional enough to appeal to their parents, teachers, and school administrators.

The logos were created using Adobe Sketch and Adobe Illustrator, the billboards were created using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop.
