The Wig Whisperer

The Wig Whisperer is a small black-owned Toronto-based hair company that came to me for a new logo. They were using an icon previously found online and were looking to level up and add some legitimacy to their small but thriving business! The main challenge was that the clients wanted to keep many aspects of their current logo while creating something more mature and unique that reflects where their business is heading in the future. Another challenging aspect was creating the right hair look -  their icon needed to reflect the bold attitude and pride many black women take in their hair. 

I spent most of my time researching beauty brands, hair brands, and other wig companies to understand competitors in the market. I also worked very closely with the clients during the sketching process to make sure their logo set the right tone for their brand moving forward. 

I used Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Sketch to create the logo
